TEHRAN, January 6 - Iranian Deputy Oil Minister on Gas Affairs Hamid-Reza Araqi said the country’s gas export to Georgia is still on the agenda.

Iran’s gas export to Georgia still on the agenda, says officialTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “The agreement on exporting Iran’s gas to Georgia has not been cancelled and Iran’s private sector will pump gas to Georgia from Armenia in case the agreements are finalized,” he said.

He said geographically, Iran can export gas to Georgia from many countries, but it should be carried out from Armenia.

The process needs various conditions, including agreement by Armenia, exports infrastructure and appropriate price, the official said.

In case the three countries agree on the export, Iranian private sector should buy gas from Iran and pay the swap charges to Iran and Armenia to export gas to Georgia, Araqi continued.
