Iran’s exports to Qatar jump considerably

TEHRAN, January 31 - Iran’s exports to Qatar have increased by 126 percent over the first 9 months of Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2017- December 21, 2017).

Iran’s exports to Qatar jumps considerablyTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Director General of Iran’s Trade Development Organization for Arab and African Bureau Farzad Piltan said the exports reached $188 million, rising by 126.25 percent comparing to similar period in the year before.

Crude bitumen, fruit, vegetables, clinker, dairy, gypsum, flooring, white cement, alfalfa, concentrated juice, white Portland cement and iron or steel products have been Iran’s key exports to Qatar, he said.

He expressed hope that the figure would hit $200 million by the end of the year (March 20, 2018).

Piltan said the organization aims to increase annual exports to Qatar by 100 percent by the next 4 years.

He also said the two countries can work in the fields of tourism, investment and transit.
