TEHRAN, April 23 - Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh said the country is not going to transfer development of South Pars oil layers to Total Company.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Oil layer in South Pars Gas Field was expected to be developed by Danish Maersk Company but a subsidiary of France’s TOTAL purchased the company, he said.
“We do not intend to transfer the development of this sector to France’s TOTAL, rather, negotiations are underway with other companies but a serious proposal is yet to be received.”
He further added that Iran has no problem is selling its oil at the moment, and is an exporting 2.5 million barrels of oil and gas condensates a day.
