Tehran, YJC. Pakaeen says that the failure of anti-Iranian entities in Azerbaijan elections testifies to the triteness of their views.

The Iranian Ambassador to Baku Mohsen Pakaeen said "Two of the presidential candidates of Azerbaijan used the electoral atmosphere and the silence of the election agents to repeat time after time their false accusations against Iran, but the negative response by the voters proved the unsubstantiated nature of their claims.”

He pointed out that segregationist groups, with no real friendship to Iran or Azerbaijan, use different historical occasions to further their goals, adding "Of course such circles have no place among the people of Azerbaijan, so much so that the favor of the Azerbaijan public toward them in the recent elections shows their real place.”
