Tehran, YJC. Lawmaker says Iran’s leverage, 20 percent enrichment, was given over to the other side to get advantages only on credit.

Ahmad Bakhshayesh in interview with Fars said "If the recent nuclear agreement of Iran with the Six Majors is considered a contract, it will be comparable to the Capitulation treaty, but in psychological and political terms it can create public hope in the future that some gain will be made on the final agreement.”

"The same agreement was proposed to Jalili when negotiating the 5+1 which he rejected. But Zarif accepted it and signed the agreement,” he added.

Bakhshayesh further said "In this agreement, the right to enrichment in general has not been recognized as legal. But as it is mentioned that enrichment beyond 20 percent must be stopped, they have tacitly agreed to the 5 percent enrichment. The other side may in six month deny Iran any right to enrichment.”

He added "The recent agreement is comparable to that made by Mr. Rouhani as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council in 2003. In 2003 and in the Sa’adabad statement, the operation of 164 centrifuges was stopped, to be resumed after two years of American non-compliance only by the orders of the Supreme Leader.”
