TEHRAN, YJC. King of the Sand, the Syrian Najdat Anzour's anti-Al Saud movie is to release in London and New York.
Although it was to be released last year, King of the Sand has not been screened but for UK news reporters, says Fars News Agency.
The director Najdat Anzour has said in interview with the Lebanese As Safir that the movie is a "big production”. "The movie displays the life of the founder of the Al Saud family in Saudi Arabia; Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahman bin Al Saud's return from exile in Kuwait, his assault on Riyadh to end the Al Rashid dynasty, and his turning to Najd and defeat of the Hashimi family with the help of Britain via their famous spy John Philby,” he added.
Anzour said that the movie has been produced with high quality and it stars British, Turk, and Italian actors. "The movie faced problems by the Saudi since it disgraces them. But they have many friends around the world and so far they have been successful preventing the release,” he asserted.
"But I announce” he asserted "that King of the Sand will so be screened in London and New York theaters and the debut will be held with all those who have worked in the project.”
