A bomb explosion was set off in a trolleybus in the Russian southern city of Volgograd at the rush hour in a lively street in the city. The casualties and numerous pieces of debris are scattered around the metallic structure of the trolleybus, Itar-Tass
reported from the blast site.
   
The bomb explosion was set off in Kachintsev Street in the Dzerzhinsky district in the city of Volgograd. A shopping centre is situated on one side of the street, a garrison department store is located on another side of the street. Many ambulances are delivering wounded people to the city hospitals.

Ten people were killed Monday in a blast on a trolleybus in the southern Russian city of Volgograd, a day after a deadly suicide bombing at the city's main train station, officials said.
 
"According to initial information, 10 people were killed and 10 were wounded" in the explosion, the spokeswoman of the local branch of the emergencies ministry Irina Gogoleva told the Interfax news agency.
 
Reports said that the blast was so strong that the trolleybus -- a common form of municipal transport in Russian cities -- was completely destroyed.

In the other blast which took place yesterday
in Volgograd at least 13 people killed.

It was also a suicide bomb attack in the Russian Volga River city of Volgograd and a criminal case was opened for terrorism, spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
