Pilot mistake causes surrounding of airport

TEHRAN, November 11 - A mistake made by a pilot of an Afghan airline Ariana, caused the New Delhi International Airport besieged by the Indian national security and anti-terrorism forces, Indian media reported.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Ariana's plane was to leave New Delhi to Afghanistan's Kandahar when the pilot mistakenly pressed the alarm botton of hijaking.

The mistake followed by Indian security force's surrounding the airport.

The security forces allowed Ariana plane to fly after a 2-hours arrest.

In December 1999, an Indian plane flying from Nepal to New Delhi was hijacked by a group of insurgents and landed at Kandahar Airport, Afghanistan.
