Tehran, YJC. Cultural Heritage Organization says over 13 million visits have been made to historical and cultural centers during the New Year holiday.
Head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage Organization said that in
the first nine days of the New Year holiday 13,209,442 people have visited the
country’s historical and cultural sites.
Masoud Soltani asserted that some of the visits have been
made free of charge.
He also added that in the same period 34,300,000 people have
been accommodated overnight on their holiday trips.
The accommodation has included hotel rooms, rented houses,
camps, and classrooms.
He stated that since many visits have been made free of
charge and therefore with no record, the real number is much beyond the
official one.
