Tehran, YJC. Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has provided latest update on the nuclear power plant inBoushehr.
Fereydoon Abbasi said "Bushehr power plant must undergo some tests in order that we get the provisional operation from the Russians. After that also the plant must operate for 7-8 thousand hours for final operation and delivery the Iranian.”
"Bushehr power plant is now in the experimental stages and the experiments are not over yet, therefore it is normal for it to go on and off grid,” he added.
He also said addressed news by foreign and domestic media as to the closure of the power plant and stated "As I mentioned the power plant is in the experimental stages. So it is natural that it goes on and off the grid due to technical issues. Lately an error occurred in the generator but the Russian contractor has provided necessary equipment and is preparing the reactor. The power plant will go on grid in the coming days, inshallah.”
