Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Speaker of Parliament Ali Larijani is to start a regional tour as part of a series of efforts “to strengthen the resistance front” within the region.

The Iranian head of parliament was scheduled to leave Iran for the Damascus, Syria’s capital, on Sunday. The 4-day regional trip will also take the top Iranian lawmaker to Iraq and Lebanon.

"The Majlis speaker is scheduled to meet the presidents and parliament speakers of Iraq, Syria as well as Lebanon,” Sheikholeslam stated.

Larijani further plans to return to Iran following his visit to the Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, on Thursday.
