TEHRAN -- Iranian MPs on Tuesday agreed to a bill to allocate $1.2 billion from the National Development Fund to improve defense capabilities, Fars news agency reported.
The sum was given as the Majlis (parliament) is studying the national budget plan for the next Iranian fiscal year (starting March 21).

Previously $1 billion was proposed for the section to which the MPs did not agree. The amount was then increased by $200 million according to initiative proposed by one of the MPs.
