Iran ranks 3rd in 2017 World Chemistry Olympiad

TEHRAN, July 15, YJC - Iran’s chemistry Olympiad team was succeeded to stand in the third place of 49th world Olympiad in 2017.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The 49th round of 2017 World Olympiad of Chemistry was held from 6 July to 15 July in Nakhon Pathom, Thiland, and Iran’s team claimed the third position.

Amir Hossein Behnoosh, Parsa Pirooz, and Amir Abbas Kazemi gained gold medals and Sorush Banyani also gained silver medal in this scientific competition.

The mentioned names formed Iran’s team led by a Dr. Ebrahim Kyianmehr as their director.

In the 49th round of 2017 World Chemistry Olympiad, Taiwan and US teams claimed the first and second positions, respectively.
