Iran, Britain ink MoU on renovating, building cancer treatment centers

TEHRAN, October 23 - Iran and Britain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on renovating cancer treatment centers, said Iranian Ambassador to Britain Hamid Baeidinejad.

Iran, Britain ink MoU on renovating, building cancer treatment centersTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “The British side will be in charge of providing cost of the plan through attracting financial resources for establishment, launching and providing equipment of these centers with the most advanced equipment and systems for diagnosis and treatment of cancer,” he said.

The MoU has been signed by Iranian Health Ministry and British International Hospital Group (IHG), a leading British group in building and investing in treatment sections.
The MoU was signed after several months of talks on technical aspects of the project.

The document was signed in Iranian embassy in London.

The British company would start building a network of advanced cancer treatment centers in Tehran and other Iranian cities, all equipped with the newest equipment and cancer treatment protocols.

The project is expected to cost €1.800 billion.

Based on the MoU, 40 cancer treatment centers would be renovated in Iran and 60 centers for treatment and diagnosis of cancer would be established by the British side.
