Tehran, YJC. Gorgan Friday Preacher says that the former Egyptian President was unwise in following Israel.

Mehr News Agency reports the Gorgan Friday Preacher Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Nourmofidi saying on Friday "If Morsi had acted wisely he would have been successful. But instead of relations with Iran and Syria, he continued relations with Israel, and today he is in tough situations.”

He added "Egypt has relations with other Arab countries and it houses various groups as well as Christian and Salafi ethnicities and the Islamic Brotherhood.”

"The Islamic Brotherhood was the winner in the Egyptian events and Morsi had two ways before him. Either to make moderation and use all groups, or to hold fast and smash others, he chose the second one,” Nourmofidi said.

He added "Morsi would have seceded provided that he had acted reasonably. He could have managed the internal issues with reason. Instead of establishing relations with Iran and Syria he continued his relations with Israel and now he is in difficult situations.”
