Tehran, YJC. Iranian nuclear official says attempted sabotage to Arak nuclear facilities has been successfully stopped.

Iran Atomic Energy Organization Deputy Director of Nuclear Security and Protection Asqar Zarean said "In cooperation with the Intelligence Ministry and other security organizations, a number of sabotage attempts were intercepted in the past few months, one of which was intended to bring wreckage to part of the IR40 site of Khondab, Arak.”

Zarean also stated that special laboratories to fight industrial sabotage attempts are being launched in the IAEO and said "The laboratories to fight industrial sabotage are fully operational which makes a turning point in the IAEO’s programs.”

He further added that the laboratories identify, prevent, and cope with sabotage attempts in various industrial sections, adding that the protection system is especially designed for nuclear facilities.

"The enemy follows its purposes by investing in industrial sabotage plans. Sabotage directed at vital and infrastructural resources is a program followed by the domineering powers who implement such attempts through various sophisticated methods,” Iran Atomic Energy Organization Deputy Director of Nuclear Security and Protection stated.
