Tehran, YJC. Senior Iranian lawmaker has expressed contempt over the UK PM’s recent statements about Iran.

Qolamali Haddad Adel who was speaking in Tehran on Monday provided comment on the stances taken by the Iranian government and parliament following a meeting between President Hassan Rouhani and UK Prime Minister David Cameron and said "The Majlis showed good reaction to that. We expect the Foreign Ministry to show good response to such disrespectful behavior. But all in all, I have to reiterate that the Majlis believes that the president’s visit to New York was positive.”

In answer to a question regarding his evaluation of the situations around the opening of the UK embassy in Tehran he said "The UK Prime Minister’s statements did not help the issue, but rather created some problems which are likely to prevent the action to take place.”
