Tehran, YJC. The next round of talks Iran’s nuclear negotiations will be held from March 15 to 20, an Iranian official stated.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, an official close to the Iranian negotiators engaged in nuclear talks with the Group 5+1 (China, the US, Britain, Russia, France and Germany) said on Wednesday that a new round of negotiations will be held later this month, before the Iranian New Year (March 21).

The place where the upcoming talks will be held has remained unknown.

Meantime, sources have said that the talks will likely be held in Geneva, Switzerland.

News of the next round of talks came while senior diplomats from Iran and the US have launched a new round of diplomacy in the Swiss city of Montreux since Monday with the aim of narrowing down differences over a comprehensive agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

Talks between Iran and the P5+1 group have been extended until July 1, 2015 to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement.

A plenary session involving Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) will be held in Switzerland tomorrow.

After the sides failed to meet the 24 Nov. 2014 deadline they also extended the Geneva nuclear deal, which was signed in November 2013 for providing Iran with some sanctions relief in exchange for Tehran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities.
