Iran’s University of Shiraz and Cyprus International University signed a MoU in a bid to widen bilateral scientific cooperation.

Vice President of the University of Shiraz Ali-Akbar Safavi said the university is ready for expanding international scientific cooperation further.

He noted that the two universities are capable of promoting tourism industry in Iran and Cyprus.

Zohreh Azimi-Fard who is in charge of international affairs of the University of Shiraz said that the MoU would pave the way for exchanging students and professors, holding joint courses and hosting international conferences.

Halil Nadir, Vice Chancellor of Cyprus International University said the two universities can work in various fields, including settling Cyprus’s drinking water problem and running science journals in Cyprus International University.

15.000 students from 100 countries are studying at Cyprus International University.
