TEHRAN, July 15, YJC - The US Space Agency, NASA, says it has identified a huge hole on the surface of the Sun.The hole measures an estimated 75,000 miles wide. The telescopes at NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured the large sun spot rotating into view from July 5 to 11. Sunspots are the cooler areas on the Sun’s surface, triggered by interactions with the star’s magnetic field. The hole is capable of producing huge solar flares, which send huge amounts of radiation out into the solar system. Scientists say it is still too early to predict how the sun spot will behave.
