TEHRAN, July 10, YJC -Iran’s Police Force hosts Kalkan Conference 2017 with aim of confronting terrorism and fighting organized cyber crimes.

Iran’s Police hosting Kalkan Summit 2017

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to MNA, the conference , being of a 90-year background of membership in Interpol, is being held with the Commander of Police Force as well as the top specialized Police chiefs attended.

Iran’s Police chief, Brigadier General Hossein Ashtary, stressed on a continued cooperation wit Interpol announcing that Iran’s Police is seriously in pursuit of confronting organized crimes including drugs smuggling, terrorism, and money laundering.

Pointing out to the conference , INTERPOL Secretary General Jurgen Stock on his part said that holding such a meeting is indicative of a desired cooperation between Iran and INTERPOL and that the meeting has strengthen Border, marine, and air Police and proved a good access to all of the relevant information.

Stock also stressed a much more sustained collaboration between Iran’s Police and INTERPOL in fighting organized groups of drug smuggling, cyber criminals, and terrorists, and called for a special focus on cyber crimes and internet space.
