TEHRAN, December 5 - Iran is going to hold the first international seminar on poultry industry to discuss ways to deal with bird flu in Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - 500 experts in poultry industry from Iran, the Netherlands, Spain, France and Australia are attending the seminar which opens on Wednesday.
Dr. Farid Hematzadeh, associate professor at School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences of the University of Adelaide, is special guest of the international gathering.
In 2014, he developed an experimental method to distinguish vaccinated birds from those infected with bird flu virus.
The method is a very important step to control the disease in Southeast Asia.
The Iranian professor is an international scholar in bird flu.
