Tehran, YJC. Saudi intelligence activities in Turkey have come to a halt as Ankara shut down centers related to Bandar bin Sultan.

Mehr News Agency reports al-Akhbar saying "Turkey’s officials confront the Saudi as they have shut down most of the centers and buildings used by Saudi intelligence agents where they used to help armed groups in Syria.”

"The act by Turkey which follows current skirmish with Riyadh, is partly an attempt to soothe crisis with Iran and Syria, because the Turk officials have found out that Saudi intelligence agents act against Turkey’s interests in Syria and elsewhere in the world,” it adds.

The Lebanese newspaper further maintains that the turning point in Turk officials’ attitude toward the Saudi was the June 30 incidents of Egypt when they realized that the House of Saud seek their own interests in Egypt and Magreb.

Regarding the recent meeting of Turkey and Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministers as fruitless, Turk sources said that the Saudi do not like Turkey to play a role in Syria or Egypt.
