TEHRAN, December 03 - Following the protests against Saudi invasion to Yemen, a gathering was held in front of Saudi regime's embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, al-Alam reported.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The gathering called for an end to the massacre of the Yemeni people by the Saudi coalition, emphasizing the need for punishing the Saudi regime and condemn the regime in all international circles.

In the gathering attended a group of Yemeni, Palestinian, and Lebanese youths chanting slogans and carrying placards which condemned international circles silence against Saudi regime's brutalities over the past three years.

They announced their support of Yemeni people's fighting to accomplish the right of determining their destiny by themselves. The gathering also condemned France, UK, and US-backed Saudi regime's military invasion to Yemen.

They said the invasion the other side of the coin of Israeli regime's occupation of Palestine.

Saudi Arabia along with its western and regional allies launched its devastating military campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the aim of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and crushing Houthis.

According to a new report by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), a nonprofit conflict-research organization, the Saudi war has so far claimed the lives of around 56,000 Yemenis.

The war has also taken a heavy toll on the country’s infrastructure, destroying hospitals, schools, and factories. The UN has said a record 22.2 million Yemenis are in dire need of food, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger.
