Tehran, 12 May_Russia’s ambassador to the UN says there will be “hot battles” at the Security Council over the arms embargo against Iran, which are to be lifted in October as per the UNSC Resolution 2231.

However, he added, the United States is trying to extend them by all means, even though there is no reason to revise the relevant provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal – officially known as the JCPOA – and the UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

“In this regard, hot battles are expected at the UN Security Council,” he added.
