Sadrist representative to the Iraqi parliament Juma Diwan in interview with IRNA said "Signs indicate that Americans are once again thinking of occupying Iraq. Developments show that while we threw US soldiers out the door, they are trying to get in through the window. But the Sadrist movement has wanted that it will not hesitate wherever it sees an American.”
He stressed the Sadrist position in opposing intervention by Western armies in Iraq and said "We reject such interventions.”
Criticizing Turkey’s parliament for authorizing the army to interfere in Iraq and Syria, he said that the Sadrists have demanded the Iraqi parliament to put the issue on agenda for consideration.
"As a political current, we have also asked the parliamentary board of directors not to allow some Iraqi MPs to turn their plans of allowing foreigners on-ground operations in Iraq into action,” he maintained.
