"The Iraqi government’s achievement in regaining domestic peace and stability is to benefit the entire Middle East,” Larijani stated in a meeting with Iraq’sHealth Minister Adilah Husayn in Tehran on Tuesday.
Larijani reiterated Tehran’s backing for Baghdad and stated that Iran would continue to stand by the Arab country in the wake of coming regional changes.
"Iran feels that it is duty-bound to back and support the Iraqi government as well as the country’s nation in all circumstances; and they can count on our help," he maintained.
Husayn, for her part, expressed gratitude for Iran’s support of her country and stated the Iraqi government is doing what’s in its power to restore stability. She admitted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has played a key role in helping Iraq restore stability.
She pointed out that the Iraqi nation desperately needs humanitarian aid, which include medical supplies and other equipment.
