Tehran, YJC. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on the public to “learn the proper procedures of criticism” In a subtle hint about his political critics.

The president said the fact that two people walk with each other does not matter; rather, where they head for and what the result is do, referring to criticisms voiced by some of his critics against Foreign Minister Mohammad Javd Zarif's stroll with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Geneva streets last week.

Rouhani was addressing an annual Book Award Ceremony in Tehran. He said criticism means to find the way to correct the course which is possible in a free atmosphere, but the procedures of criticism should be learned.

Rouhani urged the critics to discuss the essence of issues instead of talking about the superficial forms.

He said there was no room for extremism in the Islamic revolution, adding that 'We should open the way, abandon suspicion, and not pigeonhole people with different excuses'.

'Scholars, educated people, seminarians, academics, and book authors are the resources of the country. You can't shut down a gold mine because of a minor reason.'
