Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif reiterated that he has had no contact US with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
"There is limitation to dialogues and interactions for implementing the JCPOA. We announced that the JCPOA will not be the subject of upcoming talks. Our friends in Foreign Ministry have contacts with their counterparts in US and European state departments and treasury department to receive permits like Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).”
"There has been no need for my contact with new US secretary of state on implementing the JCPOA and I have not had any contact with him yet.”
Zarif further said that there is no reason that the US refuses to lift or end sanctions implementation on Iran which are regarded as its commitments to the JCPOA.
He warned that Iran can easily go back to previous conditions. "Of course, this is not what we prefer. We prefer keeping implementation of the JCPOA.”
Zarif noted that the US administration has certain jobs based on the nuclear deal and it has to comply with its commitments.
