KIEV, Jan 31, 2015 (AFP) - Fighting between pro-Russian rebels and Ukrainian forces in the east of the country has left 15 government soldiers dead and 30 wounded over the past 24 hours, Ukraine's defence minister said Saturday.
Israel's army on Sunday said two more soldiers had been killed in fighting in and around the Gaza Strip, bringing the total Israeli death toll to seven.
Four soldiers from the US-led NATO mission fighting in eastern Afghanistan died on Tuesday in "an enemy forces attack", the coalition force said, as foreign troops wind down their war against the Taliban.
Two French soldiers have been killed in the Central African Republic's capital of Bangui, the presidency said Tuesday, the first reported casualties since French troops entered the restive country last week.
