Tehran, YJC. Official says that native forces of Kurdistan are currently responsible for maintaining order in the area.

Deputy Assistant of the Beit al-Muqaddas Corps of Kurdistan Province said "Currently the native Kurd forces maintain security in the area.”

Ebrahim Hosseini provided comments on the Supreme Leader’s visit to Kurdistan and his Majesty’s orders that security in the province be kept with native forces. He said "This has now happened and no non-native unit is deployed in Kurdistan. Security in Kurdistan is maintained by native forces.”

He also regarded the revival of the Muslim Peshmarga as an ominous outcome of the Leader’s visit and said "With good regards from the Supreme Leader, many members of the Muslim Peshmarga are now retired with 5-6 years of service.”

Hosseini also stated that in the wake of the visit, the number of young people joining anti-Iranian groups has diminished.
