TEHRAN, July 13, YJC - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif left for New York on Thursday to take part in the UN meeting of the high-level political forum, said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - He said Zarif is going to meet with scientists and figures of various countries on the sidelines of the event.
Zarif is going to deliver speech in the Council of Foreign Relations to be attended by president of the center Richard Haass next Monday to discuss current developments in the Middle East.
The UN meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development is underway under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council from 10 July to 19 July 2017, including the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum from 17-19 July. The theme will be "Eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity in a changing world".
Zarif is accompanied by deputy FMs Abbas Araghchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi on this trip.
