Tehran, YJC. Former consultant to the Foreign Minister has expressed doubts that the Western negotiators will recognize the country’s rights.

Manouchehr Mohammadi said "Our negotiations with the West on the nuclear issue started in the Reform administration. I did not then expect the talks to succeed. The US always pursues its interests with a stick. We want our rights, but they know no rights.”

He asserted "As the talks have dragged on so far, I do not see it likely that the West will give up and recognize our rights.”

He also pointed to Hashemi, Khatami, and the 09 events, saying "These guys have played roles in the sedition each for specific goals and with specific motivations.”

He asserted that Hashemi has committed the biggest mistake of his life to run for presidency and added "At least we did not expect him to run for presidency with the stance he has adopted in relation to the US and Israel. Such stances are not welcome by the Iranian nation.”
