IRGC, intelligence entities prepared to fight election-time turbulence

Tehran, YJC. Chief of Police says that security organizations are fully prepared to fight potential election-time turbulences.

Brigarier General Ahmadi Moqaddam said in a conference on the preparedness of security organizations over post-electoral anti-security movements "After the 09 sedition, the Police maintains optimal preparedness for minimal contingencies.”

"Accordingly, it will be fully prepared to ward off any side issues by any political wing or individual during the 11th term presidential elections. I must say that side issues may consist a range of actions from mobilization of crowds to the streets by a qualified candidate to turbulences caused by fans of a disqualified one.”

He expected that any instance of turbulence is to disseminate from the same spots as those of the 2009 disturbances. Therefore, he added "Ample provision is made with intelligence organizations, the IRGC, and the Basij to instantly contain any sort of turbulence.

The Chief of Police also said that the control swayed by his organization over cyberspace is "incomparable to that in 2009".
