Tehran, YJC. Activist says that despite piety and devotion, Jalili does not have enough experience to qualify as a President.

Spokesman for the Followers of Imam and Leadership Front said in an interview with Mosalas "I believe that Said Jalili, despite being pious and a veteran, does not have enough experience for presidency.”

"In the nuclear talks he only played the system’s spokesman,” Said Kamal Sajjadi said.

He added that his organization has looked forward to Velayati from the beginning, having chosen him as their representative for his status at the Followers Front.

Also the Secretary General of the Society of Islamic Employees, Sajjadi added "The Society of Islamic Employees has also favored Mr. Velayati from the beginning. In fact we had decided to endorse him from the very beginning. He was not, though, elected as one of three representatives by the Followers of Imam and Leadership Front.”

He added that a mechanism adopted by the Followers Front limited the number of candidates, leaving figures such as Al Eshaq, Abutorabi Fard, Mottaki, and Bahonar out. "But, for his qualities and status in the Followers Front,” he added, "Mr. Velayati was chosen as the Front’s final choice.”

He further said "Qalibaf and Haddad Adel are also well known figures whom we respect. But as I said, we chose Mr. Velayati for his experience and qualities.”
