Tehran, YJC. Lawmaker says that people did not storm to the voting stations to show their satisfaction.

First Deputy Speaker of the Majlis Mohammadreza Bahonar said on Saturday that people’s presence on the scene has a direct relation to the country’s national security, adding "People’s presence in the elections warded off enemies from our borders, especially in terms of propaganda against the country. I remind myself and authorities that we must be appreciative of this gift,” Mehr News Agency reports.

Congratulating the elected candidate for gaining people’s favorable regards, Bahonar added "We must be aware of the fact that this great event does not mean that people are satisfied with the state of affairs, but their action was rather to defend the system and answer the Leader’s call.”
