TEHRAN, January 18 - Iranian researchers at Medical University of Kashan have found out that taking vitamin D during pregnancy prevents gestational diabetes.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Dr. Zatollah Asemi, associate professor of the university and the lead author of the study, said the researchers have investigated the effect of vitamin D supplements in pregnancy.
The study also showed that using the supplement could also reduce complications during pregnancy.
The study has been published with impact factor 7 with 71 other articles have cited this study.
The study names ‘Effects if vitamin D supplementation on glucoe metabolism, lipid concerntration,inflammation, and oxidative strss in gestation diabetes’ and was published in International Journal of Nanomedicine.
