Iran, Russia deputy FMs discuss nuclear deal, int’l issues

TEHRAN, February 14 - Iranian and Russian deputy foreign ministers discussed the latest developments on Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with P5+1 countries as well as international issues.

Iran, Russia FMs discuss nuclear deal, int’l issuesTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Russian counterpart Sergei Ryabkov held talks in line with rotating consultations between Iran and Russia over the nuclear deal and other issues of mutual interests.

During the meeting, Araqchi outlined Iran’s position to regional and international matters and stressed continuous consultations between Iran and Russia.

He also blasted destructive and irresponsible measures of the US administration which violates its international obligations and stressed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s resolve to protect its certain rights.

Sergei Ryabkov, for his part, highlighted bilateral consultations between Iran and Russia and lauded Iran’s responsible approach to the nuclear deal.

“No country should allow itself to damage accepted international principles and diplomacy through unilateral demands,” he added.
