TEHRAN, February 19 - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said the country does not have any military base in Syria.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “US presence in Syria is very dangerous. The only issue that the US is thinking about is the way of confronting Iran in the region. Iran does not have any military base in Syria,” he said as addressing the participants at the Valdai Discussion Club dubbed 'Russia in the Middle East: Playing on All Fields'.
He also said territorial integrity of Iraq, Syria and Yemen should be preserved and the only way to go out of the crises in these countries is to resort to a political solution.
Zarif continued that occupation of Syria should be confronted and life should be resumed in Iraq and Syria.
“It is an ethical obligation for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran has fought Daesh in these countries.”
