Tehran, YJC. American antiwar activist says his country does not need to invest hugely in war on Syria while it has things to take care of at home.

Brian Becker, national coordinator of ANSWER (US-based protest umbrella group "Act Now to Stop War and End Racism”) stated that polls show 90 percent of Americans to be against war on Syria, al-Mayadeen reports.

He asked why should the government spend billions of dollars on war while there are 30 million unemployed in his country.

Becker asserted his opposition to a war on Syria by stating that 90 percent of the Americans are against it.

Speaking among anti-war demonstrators before the White House, Becker exclaimed that even if the Syrian government has applied chemical weapons, there is no reason for the US to spend its money on war while it is inflicted with unemployment, problems in education system, and unfinished social programs.
