Tehran, YJC. Oil Minister has said that he is waiting for the offers of the board of directors and the National Gas Company on the new CEO.

Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said in an interview with YJC "The increase of the capital of the National Oil Company which was carried out yesterday in the cabinet is an ordinary issue which is passed every once in a while when the company’s expenditures are invested from various sources.”

He added "Regularly in the oil company investments are initially made which will then turn into capital. They can exist in refinery, oil and gas field, and pipeline sections, for example.”

He also provided comments on changes made at the level of his deputies and said "As for the National Gas Company of Iran, according to the new regulation, first the members of the board of directors must make an offer and then the minister issues the order.”

He added "The offer of the board of directors is clear and they will be considering Mr. Araqi. Also, I have signed his mandate and I am only waiting for the board of directors’ offer.”

Pointing to the selection of a new head for the National Oil Company, he added "As for that, you must yet wait, but the CEO is sure to change.”
