Alexei Pushkov, the head of the State Duma committee on international affairs, believes US President Barack Obama should clearly state his position on the issue of Syria.
"Obama was against the war in Iraq. He has to tell the world clearly if he wants Iraqi chaos and an ethnic war in Syria. However, he is now silent," Pushkov said on Twitter on Saturday morning.

"Ethnic cleansing has gripped Iraq. It's a direct result of US occupation," Pushkov said.

Pushkov believes the same scenario is being prepared for Syria.

"We don't hear anything else from Obama," he said.
