Tehran, YJC. Members of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum are to meet in Tehran to elect the forum’s secretary general next month.

Fars news agency reports that the GECF secretariat candidates are to meet on October 9 in Tehran where the next head of the forum will be selected.

The Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has said that the country’s chosen figure for the secretariship of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum will be introduced in one week.

Reza Kasaei Zadeh and Roknodding Javadi, former CEOs of the National Gas Company, as well as the current CEO Hossein Bidarmaghz were to be chosen among by the 10th administration as Iran’s choice for the secretariship of the GECF.

But after the presidential elections, things have changed and it seems that other figures might be considered for the position.
