Tehran, YJC. The president has said that his negotiating team needs to be supported by all Iranians as it is settling for talks “in special circumstances.”

Speaking before the Majlis as he was attending the session for vote of confidence to his remaining proposed ministers, Hassan Rouhani pointed to the recent developments in Iran-West relations and said "No doubt, under such circumstances we can get through the dire prevailing situation with integrity and unanimity. We must defend our national interests and objectives with sound judgment and by using the art of diplomacy.”

Stressing the need for the legislative and executive branches to enhance cooperation, the president said "We must take each other’s hand and fare along.”

He asserted "Let me say very honestly that without the support of the Majlis, the government will not succeed. If the two hold together fast, we will be able to tell the world that we have a unified ruling power and that the government and the parliament are the choice of the people.”

"We must say to the world that the representatives of the nation and the government believe in the constitution and national interests; and that they enact the policies of the Supreme Leader. We all must try and enact the Supreme Leader’s policies,” Rouhani added.

Criticizing multitudinous interpretations from the Supreme Leader’s guidelines, he said "The Leader states his ideas in clear language. It is upon us to prepare and apply the executive programs thereof.”
