Tehran,YJC. Foreign Ministry says it is pursuing the missing witness of the Crescent gas case.

Speaking in a news conference, the Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said in answer to a question regarding the latest news about the Iranian national Abbas Yazdan Panah who went missing while in the UAE "There have been contradictory reports in the past few months as to what happened to Mr. Yazdan Panah who used to live in the UAE. Since receiving the news the Foreign Ministry in an official letter to the UAE Foreign Ministry requested the case to be seen to and information to be provided on his status.”

Afkham added "Once more in the meeting with the UAE Ambassador to Tehran, Iran’s concern about the status of the aforementioned was disclosed to him. The Foreign Ministry, according to its natural duty, is still pursuing the fate of the aforementioned.”

"Any news to relegate his going missing or murder to Iran is ridiculous and an outright lie. The aforementioned was a very important witness for the Crescent gas case and his presence on the case could benefit Iran,” she asserted.
