Tehran, YJC. Salehi has said that the Culture Ministry is planning to remove the pre-print supervision from the country’s publication rules.

Cultural Deputy to the Ministry of Culture Seyyed Abbas Salehi who was speaking at a press conference in the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the 12th Top Book and Press Festival in Tehran said that his department is taking measures to facilitate the publication of books, Fars news agency reports.

Providing comments on measures taken to remove the pre-print observation system he said "The issue has been amply described in a news conference. But it has to do with forming an observatory board, the names in which have been presented to the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council.”

"The observatory board on the rules instated by the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council will have their own policies to follow,” Salehi asserted.

He also said that his department is organizing a seminar with the book stakeholders as soon as possible.
