Anti-cancer made in Beheshti University

TEHRAN, YJC. Researchers at Shahid Beheshti University Center for Herbal and Drugs Raw Material Research have developed the anti-cancer Taxotere.

Taxotere is one of the most highly consumed and most expensive drugs in the treatment of ovarian, prostate, breast, lung, and etc. cancers.

Currently the consumption of this drug in the country is more than 6 kg, worth $50 million.

The drug is made exclusively in a few countries.

All the production stages, including synthesis and final refinement are carried out in laboratory scale at the Center for Herbal and Drug Raw Material Research of Shahid Beheshti University.
