Tehran, YJC. Salehi says the IAEA inspectors cannot visit Iran’s military facilities.

The Head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization who was speaking at a press conference in the sidelines of his meeting with senior clerics of Qom pointed to reports by Western media that Iran’s nuclear program has gone beyond its regular, safe boundaries and said "Due to the various sorts of IAEA inspection as well as comprehensive cooperation and clarification, these accusations are unfounded.”

Asked if the IAEA inspectors also pay visit to Iran’s military industrial facilities and missile equipments Aliakbar Salehi said "There is no such right or duty for the IAEA inspectors. There is no international body for inspecting such facilities. There is no such a treaty either. Nor is the IAEA in a position to do something like that.”

A few local news agencies had earlier misquoted Salehi, saying the inspectors would visit Iran’s military facilities.

The Atomic Energy Organization’s Public Relations office has rejected the report as misinterpretation.
