Firefighters control blaze at 17th-century Church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris

TEHRAN, Mar 18 - Firefighters managed to control a fire which had engulfed the 17th-century Church of Saint-Sulpice on Sunday.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The fire was reported around noon, while first images revealed that the church was already in flames by the time the fire department reached it.

The Roman Catholic Church, located at the 6th district in Paris, is the second largest church in the city after Notre-Dame, and was built in the 17th century to honour of Bishop Sulpitius the Pious.
