TEHRAN, May 09 -A plane flown by a subsidiary of Air France heading from Paris to Mumbai has made an emergency landing in central Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -Iran's Civil Aviation Organization Spokesman Reza Jafarzadeh told IRNA on Wednesday night that the plane carrying 267 passengers made the emergency landing at Isfahan International Airport due to a technical glitch, adding that experts were investigating the cause of the incident.
He said it wasn't immediately clear when the flight would take off.The Airbus A340 was flown by the low-cost carrier Joon, which said in a statement that the plane, operating as flight number AF218, landed out of precaution over a malfunctioning ventilation circuit.
Meanwhile, IRNA said local authorities were providing services to passengers, all of whom were in good health.
The plane that had reportedly left Paris at 11:21 a.m. was scheduled to arrive in Mumbai at midnight.
